Stand Against White Supremacy – This Sunday, August 20, 2017!

Below, please find an important message from Rev. Graylan Hagler concerning an upcoming action called “Stand Against White Supremacy.” In addition to his message, he asks for assistance with circulating the associated flyer, which can be downloaded by clicking here.

Dear Leaders:

Please forgive any duplications, but we want to make certain that word get out far and wide.  Please help by posting with your networks.

Please join together on Sunday August 20, 2017 at 3pm at Cedar Lane UU Church.  Clearly after Friday night’s events and Saturday’smurder of Heather Heyer along with the deaths of two Virginia State Troopers in Charlottesville, Va.  and with the White House still giving aid and cover to Nazis, KKK, and other white racist hate groups we need to come and stand together to declare love over hate and our resistance to the resurgence of hate and hate groups.

Please circulate the attached flyer far and wide.  Post it to social media.  If you or your organization wants to endorse please let us know.  But most importantly let us get the word out and show the tremendous support that exists to challenge white supremacy and white racist violence.  We are deliberately gathering in Bethesda because we must all be together and come together from every community; from every area; from every racial and ethnic community; the LGBTQ community; the immigrant community; people of faith; and people of no faith.  We will be from DC, Maryland and Virginia and we will be asking ourselves and elected officials to make a pledge against white supremacy and all of the political language that seeks to hide white supremacy and racial/ethnic hatred.
